NITI Aayog Registration

The full form of NITI Aayog is National Institution for Transforming India Aayog.

Niti Aayog Registration is the process of officially registering and getting recognition from the Indian Government. The main purpose of Niti Aayog Registration is to build and foster a solid cooperation between the Indian government and non-governmental organisations (NGOs)/voluntary organisations (VOs).

It is necessary to register with NGO Darpan through Niti Aayog Registration in order to be approved for government grants and funding under government initiatives.

To apply for funding under various Ministries/Departments/Government Bodies programmes, you must have a Unique ID issued by Niti Aayog through Niti Aayog Registration.

What is UIN?

The UIN stands for Unique Identification Number. Your organisation gets assigned a unique number(UIN) after you register with NGO Darpan Portal through Niti Aayog Registration.

It is mandatory to obtain a UIN for every NGO in India. The NGOs can not get funding from outside India, through CSR or from the government unless they have UIN.

UIN also facilitates you in performing tasks on NGO Darpan Portal.

Eligibility for NITI Aayog Registration

  • Any organization or institution that is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, or under any relevant Act of Parliament can apply for NITI Aayog registration.
  • Any organization or institution that is registered under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882
  • Companies that are registered under the Companies Act, 1956 or 2013 can also register.
  • The organization must not have been blacklisted by any government agency or regulatory authority.
  • The organization’s work should have a tangible impact on society, such as job creation, poverty alleviation, or environmental sustainability.
